Privacy Policy – No BS, Just the Facts

Hey, Samir here. Look, I’m not some faceless mega-corporation that sees your data as a product to be sold. I’m a small business owner, just like you. I’ve had my own data sold, spammed, and abused by services I signed up for, and it sucks. So my promise to you is simple: I will treat your data with the same respect I want for my own.
This policy isn’t written by lawyers to confuse you. It’s written by me, for you, to explain in plain English what data I collect, why I need it, and how I protect it.
What I Collect & Why
To run smartlabelprint.com, I need to collect a few things. I’ve broken it down so you know exactly what’s what.
1. When You Create an Account
• What: Your name, email address, password (which is encrypted, so even I can't see it), and phone number.
• Why: I need this to create your secure account so you can log in, access the label generators, and track your label quota. The phone number is crucial, especially for my Indian sellers, as it helps with account verification and password resets.
2. AI Label Studio & Saved Templates
• Design Metadata: Coordinates (X, Y), dimensions (Width, Height in mm), rotation, and z-index of every element on your canvas.
• Styling Choices: Font families, sizes, colors, and background rounding (border-radius) settings.
• Symbology Configurations: Specific barcode formats (e.g., DataMatrix, Code 128) and QR code settings used in your template.
• Why: This data is essential to allow you to "Fork," edit, and share your blueprints across devices and team members. Publicly shared templates include your username as the author but do not expose your private contact data.
3. When You Generate Labels
• What: The data you input into the label forms or upload via CSV. This includes customer addresses, product names, SKUs, prices, etc.
• Why: The tool needs this information to generate your labels. For our standard free tools, this data is processed in your browser or sent directly to the server to create the PDF, but I do not store your customer lists or label data permanently. Once the PDF is served, the session data is discarded.
4. When You Make a Purchase
• What: Your name, email, and payment info.
• Why: To process your purchase of a label plan. I never see or store your credit card number. All payments are handled by our secure, PCI-compliant payment processor, Cashfree.
For Enterprise & Business Customers
If you are using our Enterprise Plan, I collect additional business-specific data to power your specialized warehouse tools:
- ⚡ Custom Label Designs: We store your brand’s unique templates and assets (logos) to ensure they are available to your team instantly.
- ⚡ SKU Master Database: We store the product information you upload (MRPs, sizes, styles, and barcode strings) for rapid staff printing.
- ⚡ Staff Accounts: We store login credentials and role-based access levels for your team members.
- ⚡ Audit Logs: We log which staff member generated which labels and when for your internal oversight.
What I Will NEVER Do
- ✕ I will NEVER sell your personal data. Not your email, not your name, not your phone number. Ever.
- ✕ I will NEVER sell your customer data or SKU database. These are your confidential business assets.
- ✕ I will NEVER spam you. You’ll only get essential account emails.
Your Rights & Deletion
You can see and update your account information in your Dashboard at any time. If you want to delete your account and all associated design blueprints, just email us at contact@smartlabelprint.com. I’ll handle it personally.
